Poem

Pilgrimage

January 8, 2017January 17, 2017 admin Leave a comment

Don’t hold me down,

Come up for air.

Softly falling, don’t make a sound.

Look away and try not to care.

Good Ones, when I come under your trees

And upon your stones,

Guide me.

Blessed Be.

Liquid feelings flowing strong.

Remove the top, start to trickle.

Hearing words and knowing they are wrong.

Straight lace, nerves of steel.

How fickle!

Oneness of Life and Light,

Lead me through Other Power

To realize Supreme Nirvana.

Namo Amida Butsu.

Show me the door,

Point me on my way,

Remove the rugs so you can sweep the floor.

Open your windows, air me out today.

I’m neat-

I’m filed-

I’m put away.

A lock now holds me

Here to stay.

Lord, may everything I do begin with You,

And be done under your guidance.

Amen.

My cry for help that once you heard,

Grew faint,

Yet dimmer still.

A whisper to myself.

Don’t hold me down,

Come up for air.
